Woodwives MYO
Woodwives the group is having a Free MYO event!
(Common Woodwives only please)
(We DO have some flex room on what we'll allow as common familiars depending on the origin of your Woodwife and what might be found around them while they were apprenticed and training! Just ask if you're not sure!)
We’re an 1800s AU, at the moment mostly focused on England, though there are Woodwives of one camp or another across the world, including America, and Japan, with regional flexibility on their choices of style for Cloak or Cape.
Q) How many can I make?
A) You can make one for yourself, but if you have a friend who wants to get in, you also can make them one, but you may only keep one for yourself. These are a free MYO event so we would prefer people not sell art slots for this, though you can obviously charge for people to commission you later.
People may OFFER to help if you need help with a design but you may not demand. Please tell us if anyone is harassing you to draw for them.
Q) Can I make one from any culture?
A) More or less, but we expect to see people have done their legwork, and are respectful. We play a bit fast and loose with certain cultural aspects within the Wood, but some are left for people to play with social tension. We just ask that you show respect to cultures that aren’t yours, even if they go with your character. Certain magics are also -exclusive- to certain branches of Woodwife, due to their culture, though other groups may make DIFFERENT items that create different results. If you have any questions, ask! Questions are great, they help us build the world!
We also have a character sheet template, which may help you figure out what to include and help us get a good idea of what you've built.

Q) I really want woodtouched, but that's not considered common:
A) : Sorry… we have customs?
Q) Can I have crazy colored hair for my character without woodtouching?
A) We have allowed characters to dye their hair, but this is entirely a non magical process and their hair when grown out will be a normal color.
Q) How long do we have?
A) The event officially closes on March 31st
Q) OK I made one: I can start playing right?
A) First submit it to the MYO review folder, we’ll check it over and make sure it fits (No mohawked leather jacket wearing biker kids wandering down the streets of 1800s… wherever.) If everything’s ok we’ll put it in the MYO official folder and then you can play.

SO HEY, things have been super quiet around here, and thats... partially due to RL stuff with staff and just because... well it's been quiet.
So here's the scoop:
I'd really like to not let this thing die without a fight, because I do legit like drawing these guys, and I have a couple WIP sketches I may be able to put up for offers.

And I've been planning to do a rework on our Lore and Rules to try and condense things and make them easier to read, understand, find, and revise as new Lore comes out. (Say hi to our Woodwife Mule who was made to help with that task)
BUT I also

Putting the Emmisary event to the side for now:
-What does your character celebrate for the Fall, or do they at all? Are they the sort who might celebrate Beltane or other harvest festivals, or do they firmly believe in something more like Science or the Church? What are they up to as the weather turns colder?
Write or draw your characters and what they're doing.

July Prompts: Strange Traveler
"I don't know WHAT a bloody damn stag was doing in the road, but -there it was-!" The furious gentleman gripped the brim of his hat tightly enough to damage it, too furious to particularly care about the expense of replacing it or the craftsmanship he was destroying as his fingernails and white knuckled fingers dug into it. "I cannot possibly be the only one who saw it! Don't treat me like I'm some low born idiot!" The man roared. His face was turning an particularly astonishing shade of purple, and resembled a dish of stewed beets that Collins had once seen.
Honestly he wanted to cuff the man and toss him in the drunk tank, but he was right
June Announcement!
Good morning, my faerie folk! Pipen here with some exciting announcements!
I've been hard at work lately with xaotl (https://www.deviantart.com/xaotl) working on some fun new mechanics- and the first of which are finally here! The introduction of an earnable shop currency, Iron Coins, earnable by writing, drawing and completing event prompts. Along with this update, we're implementing the first pass at our International Marketplace, an in-game shop where you can spend your hard-earned coins on things to help boost your character in-game, even the chance to buy customs! This is the first pass of the Marketplace, and as we work out kinks, please remember that the prices and it

If we're making an apprentice, does their cloak need to be designed as well?
